Plants that are allowed to grow naturally as they are, can one-day experience malnutrition. The process of distribution of nutrients from the soil to all parts of the plant will slow down because its reach is getting further from the soil surface. This makes the water evaporates quickly in the tree leaves. With pruning, the cover of leaves can be reduced. It’s understandable that the pruning action is an effort to rejuvenate while extending the life of plants, especially on tall shrubs. You can also hire a tree company to help you prune your trees flawlessly.
However, not all plants need pruning. Types of plants that grow in a family such as a heliconia, kana, Bromelia, ginger, or Paris lilies, for example, do not grow taller. After growing up, these plant species actually clump and have new shoots (lambing). Better parent plants removed (broken down) because the parent plants will no longer flower (unproductive). The division of plants aims to provide opportunities for each subsidiary to grow independently, be productive, and produce new plant children, and so on.
Palm family plants, also do not require pruning at all. Sometimes all it takes is to cut a few leaves at the bottom of the tree so that the figure is more attractive. Because naturally, the old palm leaves will dry out and release themselves (or deliberately released), the remaining base of the dried midrib instead appears exotic.
As for the bamboo plant, initially pruning is required by removing the branches at the bottom of the main stem to expose the beauty of the main stem later on. However, if the twigs and leaves are too thick so that the bamboo grows curved downward (due to its weight), trim it as necessary.
On the other hand, like other plants, vines need to be pruned, especially the species of thunbergia, Allamanda, bougainvillea, and purple stephanotis. Do the pruning after the flowering period is finished so that more new branches appear. Thus also appeared new flower buds. In addition, vines should be pruned more often, especially if the trunk contains a woody substance. Dry branches are usually more often found on the inside of the pergola. These dry branches will disturb the fertility of plants.
